Larry Leibowitz, Group Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Execution and Global Technology for NYSE Euronext and Tim Mahoney, Chief Executive Officer of BIDS Trading will be joined by other executives of NYSE Euronext and BIDS Holdings to celebrate the launch of the New York Block Exchange (NYBX). A first-of-its-kind platform, NYBX is designed to improve execution quality and access to block trading liquidity in today’s increasingly fragmented marketplace through its unique interaction of displayed and non-displayed orders.
The New York Block Exchange (NYBX): NYBX is the first venue of its kind to allow non-displayed or “dark” liquidity to anonymously access both the displayed, reserve and hidden liquidity on the NYSE order book. It enhances the execution of dark orderflow by accessing the complete NYSE order book while keeping order details anonymous.
